Yellow Beets

Has 13-16″ greens that are wonderful mixed into salads. Very prolific and good keeper. This heirloom was first introduced in 1892 by Mr. Reeves of Ontario, Canada. Beets are perfectly round with no rings or streaks.

Tall, bright, glossy green, red-veined tops and slightly flattened red roots. This is caused by a boron deficiency. Early Wonder is harvested in bunches with large, vigorous tops attached to the young beets.

Widely adaptable. Internal breakdown or browning is most likely to occur in alkaline soils after prolonged hot, dry periods. 1/2" deep, rows 12-18" apart. Roots also are more of the traditional, round beet shape.
