Pacaiya's Lovie Dovie name on the farm is YaYa. YaYa gave us our first cria born on the farm in 2017! She is a lovely, gentle soul that is an easy keeper and a truly wonderful mama.

She doesn't worry if YaYa will be offended, she just corrects that little one in all things alpaca. It's cute for sure, and she knows her name. She brings impressive lines to our farm including Belmonte, Jackpot, Torbio, and Rene as well as Sergean Major.

Because carrots are such a well-loved vegetable in my household, I'm devoting more space and time to them in this year's garden. I'm going to sow my first row of carrot seed in a cold frame in late March, then follow with new row every week, all summer...
