Unfortunately the squirrels got the lid off. It however does not work with the little red squirrels. Better that than finding them crawling inside feeder and eating all the seed I guess.

Any seeds the birds accidentally drop or fall from the feeder to the ground are eaten by the cardinals, juncos, mourning doves and squirrels. I gave this feeder a try and the cardinals, finches, chickadees, etc., love to eat from it.
