We fill half way to see bird on either side. At this price, a must.only down side, birds prefer a perch, so we added a coated hanger piece thru middle, bent on each side now we get 4 birds at a time.

Don't but this if you don't wish to waste suet. I bought this cage along with some suet because the prices were so good. Watched a crow open the door and knock the suet block out. Sturdy cage holds a single cake and stands up well to multiple birds.

I would not recommend this feeder because of this. All of the others I found online did have the perch attachment. I regret buying this. I bought this from Fleet Farm and it does not have the silver perch attachment that all of the other Homestead triple...
