Was skeptical but it really works, squirrels cant see the food from the too and when they venture to far the dome tilts down and down they go as well. The slope on it is better than the more expensive ones.

Not squirrel-proof. The doors that come down to shut off access when a squirrel stands on the perch are PLASTIC and the squirrels just chew through them and can the eat as much as they want.

By the way, it's not necessary to use 4 suet cakes. I loved this feeder from the moment I hung it up--and, what's more important, the birds love it! They were attracted to it immediately.

I've only had the 2 hotels for 1 week. My beneficial insects move in almost immediately. This is a great addition to my garden! I think they love their new resident.

Can't go wrong with solid metal and glass!. The glass container is ample for grape jelly, nectar, etc. Maybe putting a couple of "barbs" on the "spikes" would help keep the oranges in place longer.

The bears have used it too and didn't cause any damage. I needed to replace one of my old feeders because of bear damage and gave this feeder a try. Perfect for the ducks,herons,egrets, & ibises.

I have ten feeders..one in each hanging basket. These are great. This feeder expands the number of feeding opportunities for the hummers...each one can have their private feeder...no need for the chases to protect their feeding station.

I had a previous gazebo style feeder that lasted for about 50 years.I was expecting more from this product. I suspect raccoons tried to get to the hanging feeder. I built a wooden one.
