I especially like it for that reason but I also appreciate that the woodpeckers can eat naturally in a vertical position with the tail prop design. I have multiple suet feeders but the woodpeckers took to this suet feeder almost immediately.

Don't but this if you don't wish to waste suet. Bought one thinking it would be good. Wish it had a longer chain though. Sturdy cage holds a single cake and stands up well to multiple birds.

Once open, it is near impossible to put back together. Nice idea but near impossible fill design...not worth $20 and the bag of seed lost. Took about a day or two, but the finches caught on quickly! Very happy with our purchase!
