The tree has diameters of 20-30” and a height of 45-70’ tall. It is very stable and easy to work. The colors are rich and warm, combining honey brown, black, and red. The bark is furrowed and is a dark brown / black color.

You can see from the photos that the color & figure vary greatly in this species. There are incredible colors and figure. Some pieces may have a stain from the numbered label, so you must be able to work with this.

4/4 (approximately 1” thick) lumber is kiln dried. You won’t want to miss out on this exotic Mexican hardwood! Many pieces are dark in color but underneath the wax is a beautiful tobacco yellow/brown contrasting with black.
