(Bible leaf) The sweet-scented leaves may be used for tea or in herb pillows. Fresh leaves, picked before flowering, used in salads, sauces, soups and in cold drinks where a little goes a long way.

All plant parts can be used to produce yellow, bronze and grey dyes. Good remedy for coughs, hoarseness and bronchitis. Striking yellow flower stalks rise from a woolly leaf base in the second year.

(Jackpot tansy) Sensational variety from England. Soft downy woolly-grey leaves are soon overwhelmed by a shroud of white flowers -- so much so that you almost cannot see the leaves.

Spread 18-24in (45-60cm). Altogether the plant looks like a grove of white pine. Golden Rains colours are certainly not vibrant at the expense of flavour. Prefers well-drained, compost lightened clay.

Ht. 75cm/30”. Commercially important strain from the Vaucluse district of France. Discovered in 1972 when the standard commercial strain was nearly destroyed by disease. Violet flowers, strong scent.

Pleasant scent with a hint of eucalyptus. Large showy rose-pink flowers flushed with lilac.
