Copper Bird Feeder

A coat of Min Wax stain (to seal the wood) and then two coats of polyurethane satin finish. Here is what I did. Would be a litttle more sturdy if they used screws instead of staples for the joints.

Have it hanging rope to take it down to fill. Still love this feeder though. I had one for 5 or 6 years before I had to replace it with a new one. It's perfect! I love this feeder as it holds so much seedbut my squirrels like it too.

(They sell quite well, and make great gifts.) Besides, this is the best price anywhere. I've been using this suet feeder hardware to make pileated woodpecker feeders for at least a dozen years.

This is the second set of two I have purchasedthe first set lasted 18 years!!

The cleaning mops were so old the foam bristles had yellowed.

The morning after hanging it, there it was on the ground, in pieces. The hanging wire was stripped out of the center and would not reinsert, the clear portion was in about 5 pieces.
