I bought this feeder Oct 9. I would not recommend this product for any beef cattle feeding. We have beef cattle and the U shaped tubes all broke off and the calves just lay in the hay.

You get a better deal on the shaving. When I worked at Tractor supply I would still go to Fleet Farm. I love the dejnos shavings, they are absorbent and fluffy. The shavings are the right size not to big where you just take it out as fast as you put in.
