I really don't get what people are complaining about for noise. While the Kumho were adequate for this style and capabilities of vehicle the Coopers have been everything expected. There has been zero increase in smooth pavement.

My rear tires have lost ALL there tread down to the wire. The stock tires on my Golf R were grippy but the you could feel the sidewall start to let go at high G's and that made you lose confidence.

We finally put this tire set last week. The noise level is minimal and the handling is reassuring at higher speeds. These are definitely going to last way longer than the 1st generation Defenders.
