This farmhouse was built in the 1790's. The property is nestled in a valley were it was established as part of the Williamsburg Track. The deed for the property itself dates back to 1772 therefore it is assumed it was one of the first farms in the valley. The core family owned the property for generations until 1966. In 1966, I then purchased and restored it adding modern conveniences while yet still keeping it as original as possible. During this restoration electric, water, and sewage was added.
This farmhouse is located on 6 ½ acres in a rural setting yet still located ten minutes from various shopping opportunities. The property itself includes the house, a period barn and another building that includes its own kitchen, laundry area, and bathroom. This extra building could very easily be converted to a guest home by simply adding a partition for a bedroom.
The property itself includes a variety of flowering trees and scrubs. Plenty of shade is provided by the beautiful, old maple trees. The property also includes a small fresh water spring that was the original water source until 1966.
The farmhouse includes a kitchen, dining room and living room on the main floor with a fireplace in each room. The second floor is accessible by 2 staircases leading to three bedrooms and a bath. The house includes beautiful period hardwood floors and woodwork in every room. The home still has its original windows and doors. I have worked very hard to keep this property as original as possible. This is a museum quality restorationÂ…come take a look and I think you will agree!
