Details
I have 300 acres along Gasper River in Logan County, Ky (USDA zone 6-7), temperature RARELY gets below 5 degrees. Have several nice black walnuts that are native and profusely produce mild meaty nuts. Many of the trees are over 100 years old, although I gather most seed stock from the 10 to 20 year old trees as they are more abundant. I have found no difference in quality. Price is .31 each, and a minimum order of 100 ($31.00), plus $5.00 for postage and handling. We don't spray or fertilize our trees. All natural. We do manage soil acidity with application of agricultural lime. Walnuts grow well in all soil types, although 5.5 to 6.5 is probably the best range. Ask about our other species available next Fall.
