wanted: silkie hen born app. 6-07. Will be a Companion for one black, splash, hen now. I live in San Anselmo,CA. I own two, 2yr. old hens that don't seem to like the little girl. Details I've owned my two silkie hens for 2 years now. I wanted more hens, but somehow was happy with just the two. One broods every 38-40 days and the other sits by her side, so I thought I'd purchase another. So I got, \"another\" through the feed shop in Petaluma to learn the olders absolute wouldn't accept her. It's been a month and the sweet hen is not being accepted so she follows my border collie around and that's perfectly OK. So I'd like to purchase another splash silkie hen for, \"Lucy\" . The new one will have to be sweet and only about 3 mos. old. Same size is important in this animal group , I guess.
