My grandmother, who is soon to be 90 years old was telling me she had one requert from when she was a child in Oklahoma and Colorado. She said she wished she had brought some pie melons plants with her when she came to live in Missouri.

I understand they are larger than a watermelon and have a little different taste. My grandmother makes all different kinds of jellies and jams for her very large extended family. My grandmother was telling me that she had regretted not bringing some pie melon plants from when she was a child growing up in Oklahome and Colorado.She currently lives in Southwest Missouri. Would these plants grow there? And if so, what kind of care etc. would they need?
