My family and I have become interested in growing our own cantaloupes. This is a fun project for my family, and would like to try new varrieties next year.
Details
We have grown several different varrieties, I'm not sure what kind they are, one variety is yellow on the out side with little webbing, and a creamy white flesh. We were told they were Isralie's but who knows. I have also tried the more common kinds, with the thick webbing on the out side, and orange flesh. We have taken to it and we are greatly loved by our neighbours! I have decided to try some new and unusual kinds. Next year I have a \"yellow canary\", a \"Casaba\", and a \"Crensha\". I'd like to see what else I can try. We are located in East Texas, so what ever would grow well in my area would be welcomed. I can only do a small order. We have had so much fun with it as a hobby, and our daughter loves it too. Our horses also benifit, they get to eat the rinds, or the cantaloupe that we picked incorrectly! Thanks!
