I'm looking first for distributor parts for my continental 163 4 cyl. engine in a 1946 Massey-Harris tractor. Its a continental F4162 that it and engines like it were used not only in old massey tractors, but older machinery such as forklifts and other applications in their day. Other older continental 4 cyl. engines that are not 162 c.i.d. probably utilized this type of Auto-Lite distributor as well. The rotor shaft of this distributor appears rather slender and doesnt have a hollowed out area or notch in the top of it as most do. The top of the rotor shaft doesn't appear perfectly round, but has a small flattened spot so that the rotor can key in correctly. The rotor cap appears tapered , being larger at the base than at the top where the plug wire terminals are, and this is obvious. The bottom of the base of the distributor cap is about as wide as one for your average v8 is. And when the distributor is off of the engine, there is no extra shaft sticking out the bottom. I might consider an old MG midget distributor, which I have been told will work with little to no trouble, but it would't be my first choice. Then second, I'm looking for a one-piece manifold for the same engine. With this manifold, the intake and exhausts bolt separately at their mounting bases to the engine, but are commonly cast into one piece centrally
