Care of 8-10 horses in upscale dressage barn in Eastern Massachusetts. Very responsible position, full responsibility during owners absence. Residence in attractive apartment onsite

Responsibilities
 
Includes feeding, stalls, turnout, barn chores, ordering fed and supplies, recruiting and training supplemental help, some riding and training of owners horses.
 
Qualifications
 
Experience in same type job. References. Knowledge of horse health and first aid. Strong motivation is required as well as physical ability to do the work. In addition to horse handling skills, must have excellent people skills to service adult boarder population. Competence in dressage preferred. Natural horsemanship experience desired.
 
Job Description
 
Resident manager, with 5 days/week work in the barn, 7:30-5:00 plus night check. Oversight of weekend help and 24-hour emergency availability.
