The School of Agriculture at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso-Chile, Quillota Campus, is accepting applications for a 12-month tenure-track faculty position. The position will be available starting March 1, 2007

40% teaching, 40% research, 20% extension.
 
Qualifications
 
A Doctoral degree in viticulture, horticulture, or plant physiology is required. The incumbent must be fluent in English (Spanish desirable, as it is the teaching language). Chilean citizenship is not required.
 
Job Description
 
Develop a research and teaching program in viticulture. Teaching responsibilities include at least one undergraduate and one graduate course per semester, in addition to thesis advising and field trips. The successful candidate will also develop a research program focusing on wine or table grapes and grape physiology, funded mostly through industry and competitive grants.
