I am seeking a cheerful, motivated, confident, responsible person who loves to train and ride. Boarding and training facility specializing mostly in the Gaited breeds. Lots of riding and some showing likely. Breed experience not required.

Responsibilities

The right person will be experienced in breaking/ starting young horses, correcting problem behaviors, and maintaining finished horses. Other responsibilities include light maint., feedings, stalls, supervising others, whatever else needs to be done on the farm. Some farm sitting and dog sitting will be required. Must be kind, hard-working, and not mind some dirt and sweat.

Must have training experience and references. Own vehicle is also required. Excellent attitude is a must, no drama please. NO DRINKERS/DRUGS. Must be a USA citizen and be over 18.

Job Description

Typical day consists of AM & PM feedings, barn clean-up, whatever maint. chores need to be done, and riding (usually 3-4 horses per day). Work day is about 9 hours, 6 days per week. Pay is determined by experience. Health allowance after 6 months. 1 week paid vacation after 1 year. Promotions, merit increases, and bonuses are possible. I'm looking for someone long-term or permanent.
Furnished private bedroom is provided and most meals. Due to living arrangements this position is open to a single person only. Sorry, no house pets.
