General Description: The Process Engineer will support the production, operation, maintenance and quality control departments to achieve their established key performance goals, targets and objectives by implementing systems that maximize throughput, quality, yield, productivity, and equipment reliability. The successful candidate will be responsible for the improvement of existing processes, as well as the development of new processes for current and future food products.
Requirements: Position Requirements. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline. (Prefer Mechanical or Chemical) - High volume manufacturing experience in food industry. - Must work well in team environment and be capable of directing skilled trades and other personnel as needed. - Strong computer skills ( Microsoft Office, Excel, Mini Tab, Access, etc.) - Good communication skills, verbal and written. - Self-motivated - Team player. - Honest, result driven competent individual that will inspire others. - Demonstrated history of leading people and projects.
Preferred Qualifications: - Strong knowledge of statistical problem solving tools and SPC usage including Design of Experiments. - Experience in material qualification and process design. - 1 to 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent co-op experience - Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
