Job Description

The objective is to identify and study genes affecting vernalisation response in timothy and other forage grasses using existing molecular tools (markers, ESTs, microarray, BAC libraries) and experimental populations in close collaboration with a consortium involving 5 Nordic countries. The Research Centre Flakkebjerg opened in 1997. It is part of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University of Århus, which is the largest agricultural research facility in Northern Europe. In the Dep. of Genetics and Biotechnology, a research facility has been established combining expertise within the areas of plant molecular biology, transformation of cereals, DNA markers and quantitative genetics.
