Responsibilities

Care for the herd from calves, to producers and everything in between. Keep the herd clean, safe and healthy. Maintain records on any necessary medical care.

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have experience working with dairy cows, a basic understanding of bovine health and a love of animals. Mechanical inclination a plus. Please be positive, reliable and honest.

Job Description

Herdsman will consult with farmer/owner about the well being and care of the herd. Will be responsible for keeping the herd happy and healthy. Must be able to work well with others. Position includes necessary cleaning, feeding and nurturing of a dairy herd, as well as record keeping. Ideal candidate will have an understanding of the cycles of dairy production.
