This is accomplished through use of a Hino 145 Diesel Truck with a 16 Foot Box, of which 13, feet is built out as a mobile sales/showroom and 3 feet of inventory and trade show storage. Current states where routes are established and being established are; California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. As this business is seasonal calls are made in the northern and north central states during the spring and summer and in the southern and south central states during the winter. This position requires 3 weeks on with 1 week off 6 days a week and in general dictates you are at your first account call at 8:00 a.m. in the morning and may not finish with your last call until after 6:00 p.m. Expect 5 account calls per day, dependent upon the distance between accounts.

This position requires 3 weeks of travel per month with the 4th week off. Candidates must be capable of driving a 5 ton truck with built in sales showroom to call on established dealers, as well as, new dealer account development and participation in industry trade shows. Company to provide cellular phone, laptop, fuel, lodging and reasonable per diem for dining. Salary is based on 12% commission of monthly truck sales with minimum sales of $30K per month expected. Insurance Benefits available after 3 month probationary period.
Requirements-Excellent People and Communication Skills, Computer literate in Windows, Inventory Management, BA or BS in Agribusiness a plus but not an absolute. Equine and or Ranch Experience with Horses a plus and a Strong Work Ethic a must. In addition all candidates will be willing to undergo, background checks, be bondable and insurable to fill this critical position within our organization.

Future routes are to be developed in the Mid-West and East and we will add equipment and personnel as justified. This position requires 3 weeks on with 1 week off 6 days a week and in general dictates you are at your first account call at 8:00 a.m. in the morning and may not finish with your last call until after 6:00 p.m. in the evening depending on the distance between accounts. Ideally there would be 5 account calls per day but of course this is dependent upon the distance between accounts.
Accounts to be called on include but are not limited to Regional Co-operatives, Pet & Feed Stores with multiple locations, Individually Owned Tack & Feed Stores, Trainers who are resale candidates, Clubs & Organizations with valid resale numbers and Internet Retailers based in the region. This position reports in to the Managing Member.
AUTHORITY
In this position you are authorized to represent and negotiate sales, contracts and pricing with end customers on behalf or Ru Horse Tack & Equipment, Inc, in conjunction with and under the approval of the Managing Member if said sales, contracts or pricing goes outside of the established price guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Sales of Ru Horse Tack & Equipment to established and new accounts. Maintenance and development of business relationships with existing and new accounts in a professional manner. Qualify accounts as viable customers for receipt of evaluation units based on actual sales of similar products currently carried in their establishments. Win order placement from customers. Plan account routing that maximizes account call opportunities and minimizes travel in a logical manner. Maintain and manage established truck inventory-ACCURATE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT IS CRITICAL . Follow maintenance schedule on the truck as provided in the owners manual. Wash truck bi-weekly and or as required. Follow up with all accounts every 6 to 8 weeks in season or as required to check on sales and inventory levels. Weekly submission of expense reports to cover fuel, per diem dining and lodging. Keep customer base updated with specials and new product introduction as required. Weekly reporting of calls logged and sales activity via Act Contact Management Software. Have fun!
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Track trends in style and activities specific to your region. Provide input on new product ideas. Provide input on Sales/Marketing opportunities outside the standard course of business. EQUIPMENT ISSUED

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum Experience: 2-3 years experience in equine product sales and or customer service. Knowledge:Familiar with aspects of equipment used in the equine industry, Phone skills and PC literacy.
