Responsibilities

|
As an Outside Sales Representative you will be responsible for generating leads from large dairy farms within a specific territory, qualifying the prospects, presenting benefits and handling objections, making proposals and closing sales for this proprietary manure management system. Within this role you will also be responsible for building a network of influencers (nutritionists, veterinaries, county agents, etc.) to help network and facilitate sales.

* **Three to five years in industrial equipment sales within the agriculture industry (experience within dairy industry strongly preferred)**
* Working knowledge of equipment systems, manure management products, bio-digesters or related dairy farm products
* Self starter with excellent presentation skills
* Ability to travel within large territories and work independently
* Track record of strong sales success

One of the divisions within our client's company is focused on a unique manure management technology for dairy farmers. Their products utilize an automated on-site production facility coupled with aerobic composting to convert manure into exceptionally clean bedding. Not only does this technology produce a virtually odorless and environmentally safe product, but when blended with naturally occurring substances (developed from the company's other division) this bedding becomes extremely resistant to insect infestation and can be produced much cheaper than current alternatives.

Performance Objectives for this opportunity include:
* Develop and retain a sufficient number of long-term customers and closed orders to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share goals within a specific geographical and/or targeted customer area
* Propose customer solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state and federal regulations
* Effectively manage prospects by developing sound marketing plans and maintaining key information in the prospect database.
* Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
