We have some suri and some crosses of huycaya alpacas. These are so easy to maintain. I will be happy to go over the advantages and disadvantages with you so that you can start your alpaca venture. This is not a quick way to make money, over time its an investment...and a tax break to die for! Every Alpaca I have has its own special disposition. No two are alike. I need to sell a few of them due to the small size farm we are on. I have been selling the fiber for 15 dollars an ounce! One alpaca gives me about 20 lbs per shearing!
