coyotes and other preditors are becoming a problem in our southwestern Missouri hills & timber. We have 3 Australian dogs that are chained most of the time in our yard since I've had them for years before I bought acreage and got our cattle; however I do ocassionally take them through the pasture with me to walk the timber and I have several cats so want a dog that won't bother my cats. I'm not certain at this point if we should start with a puppy, young dog or an older dog, but would like to have a male and female when and if I can afford them. I am looking for good confirmation and most of all \"excellent\" working qualities and temperment and must have proof of no inherited health problems such as joints etc. I are getting a few goats right away and must find a dog I can afford to stay in the pature with them. The dogs will have a good happy environment and proper care; but cost will be a concern for us.
