Details
Ace is a registered haflinger gelding with one of the best pedigrees in the United States. His sire is a 59+” two-time grand national champion pleasure stallion and was the 2005 SIP Stallion of the Year. His 59+” dam won second place in a very large class at her national show debut. Ace's conformation and movement attest to his champion heritage. His smooth flowing pleasure gait gives him the potential to excel in any discipline. He is currently over 14.2 hands and should mature to at least 15 hands before he is fully-grown. With good size, correct body structure and good extension and propulsion from behind, Ace should be highly competitive in the show ring both under saddle and under harness. His coat color is that of a new copper penny without a trace of roan hairs. Ace's gentle and willing personality makes him a treat to work with. He has excellent barn manners and is a friend to all of his pasture companions. He willingly clips/loads/bathes without giving you a fuss and he stands well for the farrier. Due to his calm nature and large size, he has been lightly started under saddle as a young two-year-old. He has proven to be a quick learner. With only lead ropes attached to his halter, he readily stands quietly to be mounted and ridden around the pasture and barn area (see picture). He is responsive to voice and leg commands, even backing up when verbally told. Really, he just loves to please people and to receive attention and this makes him desirable for both advanced training and as a companion animal.
Ace has been extremely well cared for, is sound, has a negative Coggins and has a complete vaccination/worming/farrier history. I dearly love this horse and will sell him to a good home only. I was hoping to have enough time to spend with Ace to finish training him and use him for dressage and fine harness competition but while pursuing my education, I have found that entering the show ring at this time isn't entirely possible for me.
