Betsy Jane is trained to show or trail ride. She is black with 3 stockings and 1 sock. She is 9 years old and a sturdy 14.2hh. She has very good manners, no vices, great for the farrier (does not need shoes, only trims).

We are forced to sell Betsy Jane and our SSH gelding. We are going to start driving semi and won't be able to care for them. Both are non aggressive. Betsy Jane originally came from FL and has been shown at Shelbyville. She will give you a nice canter on the correct lead and gait very smoothly. She does have some trust issues. She is NOT mean! She just needs time to bond. She seems to bond a little faster with women, but has done so with my husband. She has never kicked, bitten, bucked or reared. She is very, very NEAT in her stall. Can be in a covered turnout year round. She is not spooky on trails and can be ridden away from her buddy. She prefers not to lead, but might become more comfortable on a familiar trail. She leads with just a little coaxing. I cannot say enough about Betsy Jane's gaits. They are very, very smooth. She is very sure footed and has taken on some very steep hills. She has jumped up on boulders and canter for miles on trail. She never seems to get sore and only requires minimum trims. I would like to find a forever home for Betsy Jane. She deserves it!
