The nice things first - The truck starts right up and she idles beautifully. The truck has only 46,522 original miles on it. This truck has been off the road and sitting for a number of years. The last inspection sticker from NJ is dated 1992.
This truck has the V-6 engine that GMC made for trucks, starting in 1960. This engine is rated at 150 hp and coupled with the 3 speed manual transmission, which I believe is a SM-318, she just moves along great with or without a load on it. The truck has all original parts under the hood. The generator, original oil bath air cleaner and the Holley carburetor are all there and all original. This truck also has the original front grill guard, offered from the factory.
Now the reality of it all - The truck has been sitting, so the wheel cylinders are frozen which means the brakes do not work. The windshield has a hole in it and the wood that makes up the flat bed need to be replaced.
The truck does have some rusted through areas; specifically the bottom of each door has some spots with metal that needs attention.
This truck will need to be towed or trailed from its current location due to the wheel cylinders being frozen, the brakes do not work.
Local pick up is preferred, but delivery can be discussed as an option at 2.40 per loaded mile, one way from zip code 07422. The delivery distance can not exceed 150 miles from zip code 07422. All delivery fees and the purchase price would need to be paid prior to delivery.
